Privacy Policy

THOMPSON NEXOWAVE LLC, trading as NEXOWAVE ("we", "us", "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or place an order, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

This policy applies to nexowavestore.com and to orders placed there.

Information we collect

We collect information in a few ways, depending on how you interact with the store:

Information you provide directly

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address — given when you place an order, sign up for our newsletter or contact us
  • Order details — the items you buy, colour and size selections and any notes you add at checkout
  • Content you submit voluntarily, such as contact form messages or product reviews

Payment information

Payment details are entered on and processed by our secure third-party payment processor. We do not see, transmit or store your full card number or bank details on our servers; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, together with a transaction reference.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the store, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring and exit pages, the pages you view, the links you click and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies, log files and similar technologies.

How we use your information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • Process, fulfil and ship your orders, and keep you informed with order confirmations and shipping updates
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries sent through the contact form, email or the Track order page
  • Detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activity, and protect the rights and safety of NEXOWAVE, our customers and the public
  • Personalise your visit, such as remembering the items in your bag
  • Analyse site traffic and usage so we can improve the range, site performance and the shopping experience
  • Send you our newsletter about new arrivals and restocks, but only if you opted in; every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link
  • Comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help the store work and help us understand how visitors use it. We use:

  • Essential cookies — required for core functions such as keeping items in your bag and remembering your session while you browse
  • Preference cookies — remember choices you have made, such as whether you dismissed our cookie notice
  • Analytics cookies — help us see which pages are visited most and how visitors move through the store, so we can find and fix usability problems

You can reject non-essential cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, and control or disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling essential cookies may stop parts of the store, such as the bag and checkout, from working correctly.

How we share your information

We share information with a limited number of service providers who help us run the store:

  • PayPal — processes payments on our behalf and handles your payment data under its own privacy policy
  • Shipping carriers such as USPS, UPS and FedEx — receive your name, address and phone number so they can deliver your parcel
  • Email platforms — used to send order confirmations, shipping notifications and, if you opted in, our newsletter
  • Analytics providers — may collect anonymised or aggregated usage data to help us understand overall traffic and performance
  • Hosting and security providers — deliver and protect the website and process connection data on our behalf

These providers are required to use your information only to perform services for us and to keep it confidential. We may also disclose information where the law requires it — for example in response to a subpoena, court order or other legal process — or to protect the rights, property or safety of NEXOWAVE, our customers or others.

Data security

We use industry-standard measures, including TLS encryption on the website, to protect your personal information in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to guard your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

Data retention

We keep order and transaction records for up to seven years to meet tax, accounting and legal record-keeping obligations. Newsletter and preference data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Contact form messages are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your enquiry and for our internal records.

Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal data we hold about you and how it is used
  • Access a copy of the personal data we have collected about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Ask us to delete your personal data, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (we do not sell personal data)
  • Opt out of marketing at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any newsletter or by contacting us
  • Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights

If you are in the EU, EEA or UK (GDPR)

We process your personal data to fulfil your order (performance of a contract), to keep tax and accounting records (legal obligation), to prevent fraud and improve the store (our legitimate interests) and, for newsletters and non-essential cookies, on the basis of your consent. In addition to the rights above, you may ask us to restrict or object to certain processing, request your data in a portable, machine-readable format, withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA)

In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers (such as name, email address, postal address and phone number), commercial information (orders you placed) and internet activity information (such as pages viewed), for the purposes described in this policy. We do not sell personal information. Where advertising cookies are used, you can opt out of that sharing at any time through the cookie banner or our Do Not Sell or Share page. You may also use an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us with the subject line "Privacy request" — through the Contact page or our Do Not Sell or Share page. We will verify your identity before acting on the request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Children's privacy

Our site and products are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, the store does not currently change its data collection practices when it receives one.

International visitors

Our site is hosted in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this page periodically so you are aware of any changes.

Third-party services

Payments are processed by PayPal under its own privacy statement.

The website is delivered and protected by our hosting and security providers, which handle connection data under their own privacy policies.
